Meetings


We we meet on the first TUESDAY of each month at Outwood Memorial Hall 7.30pm.

Everyone is made very welcome, the cost £2 and includes refreshments.


FEBUARY 6th

Tony Banks gives a talk on old mine working in our area, supported with a selection

of old maps. Tony has worked at the pit all his working life.

Members get to choose from a selection of film from our archives of over 600 hours.

John Gravett presents a selection of slides depicting our area from the early 1900s

MAY 1st

A night on the internet, members choose from a vast selection of subjects on YouTube.

Pot Luck Night, members are welcome to bring any artifax, photographs or film.

Internet. A look at websites that cover local history, including our own.

Mike Hooley presents a selection of local old photographs from our extensive

collection of over 8,000

Derek Ellis hosts a photograph competition  each entrant is allowed 4 entries.

NOVEMBER 6th

Tonight we have a special showing of our very first film “The Quest For Coal”

This 45min film was released in 2001 and is our best seller.

We present a selection of local short Christmas Films.
