Madam/Springfield Hall

Springfield House also known as "Madam Hall” or "Cat Hall”, was situated in Lingwell Gate Lane, Outwood top side of the entrance to the 41 industrial estate.

You had to go through a gate and the farm yard to get to the back door of Springfield House./ Madam Hall/ Cat Hall. Just inside the farm yard was a huge pigeon loft, built on top of a farm building, the nest boxes were built into the wall structure. On a south facing wall of a farm building was a large vinery ,with green and black grapes. About 10 yards in front of the vinery was an orchard with 25 to 30  apple trees.

The Spring was at the edge of the field behind the house and the water flowed in to a duck pond.

Unfortunately the house is now demolished and only a footpath remains.
